1. Case Presentation

  • A few hours old, 900 gm baby boy born at 26 wks gestation is transferred with a diagnosis of esophageal atresia after a difficult intubation and inability to pass a nasogastric tube. 
  • There is scant blood in the esophageal tube
  • 2 chest x-rays a few hours apart are shown below.
