2-Year-Old Female Patient with Two Vaginas on Opposite Sides of the Urogenital Sinus (Hendren Patient Case)

Case Overview: 
  • 2-year-old female with two vaginas on opposite sides of the urogenital sinus and required only a transverse colostomy at birth in Europe
  • She required colon to extend vagina to perineum

 

Follow Up: 
  • In 2011, patient was age 22 and healthy
  • Further surgery included a ureteral reimplantation for reflux, ovarian cystectomy, MACE procedure for colon washout, enlargement of the vaginal introitus, and anal trim for redundant mucosa
