Technical Recommendations for THP Webinar Presenters

Here are some technical recommendations for your presentation.

What You Need for Your Presentation

1. A high-speed Internet connection with upload speed of at least 200 mbps (test your speed: https://www.speedtest.net/)

2. A webcam and microphone (PC- or laptop-based)

3. Audio speakers (PC- or laptop-based)

Lighting

Make sure the room you are presenting from is well lighted and that your video is not in silhouette in front of a window, for example.

How To Login as a Presenter

A day or more before the webinar, you will be sent an email that contains a unique link that will log you into the online Zoom Webinar space as a Presenter. This login link will be unique to you and should not be shared with anyone.

When To Login

You should log in at least 15 minutes before your presentation is scheduled to begin, or as otherwise instructed. Make sure your webcam, microphone, and video are recognized correctly. Then make sure you mute the microphone until it is your time to present.

What To Do When It Is Time To Begin Your Presentation

You're logged in, everything is set up, now what?

We have a webpage that will outline in detail how to make sure your presentation is ready when you login and how to manage your presentation.

Send a Powerpoint of Your Presentation to The Hendren Project

We will record all presentations. A video of each presentation will appear on The Hendren Project. We will need a copy of the slides from your presentation to accompany the presentation video. Please send them to me at this email or via an online transfer service, such as WE transfer.
