2-Week-Old Female Patient Referred After Transverse Colostomy (Hendren Patient Case)

Case Overview: 
  • 2-week-old female infant in 1984, referred after transverse colostomy
  • Massive vesicoureteral reflux, causing severe bilateral hydronephrosis
  • Initial goal of surgery was to repair the urinary tract
Follow Up: 
  • Follow up in 2011, patient was age 27 years
  • Urine control, bowel control, and sexual funtion are normal.
